Hi! I am Stephanie.
1/2 of the Reason Duo. You will see a theme of how our last name is so unique, and it is easy to use it in several avenues of our life including this one, A Life With Reason.
We must live life on purpose.
I believe we all have been put on this earth for a specific reason, a God given purpose. The road to figuring out this reason and purpose can be filled with uphills, downhills, and quite a few curves. There are days we feel stuck like we’re not going anywhere, and those times can be discouraging. Some days it feels as if we are on the hamster wheel of life all alone, and if we are not careful during those times we could be easily distracted away from our purpose.
Living life on purpose takes courage and bravery. We have to be willing to step out of our comfort zone into new territory that God has planned for us. It is not an easy road. We have to fight through the self-doubt, imposter syndrome, the mundane, and even those who don’t believe in what we are doing. Many days we question if the road is really worth it, but I have found it is on those days that I hear God the clearest as He confirms His plans for my life.
We need each other.
The good news is that we are all on this journey together and need each other along the way. Community is important. We need to be surrounded by those that can encourage and support us.
The great thing is that nothing we go through or face is ever wasted. Every season we find ourselves in can be used to help others if we are willing to be transparent.
Every one of us just want to know that we are not alone in this great big world. There is nothing that satisfies that longing more, than when we hear someone else has experienced the exact same thing we are going through. That is community.
It is my goal to be the cheerleader you need to keep going on the days that it seems too tough to carry on. I want to be for you what I have had on those hard days.
There are many people in my life that have encouraged me even when they did not even realize they were doing so. Many of those people I do not personally know, but they have impacted me through their social media, podcasts, blogs, books, and sermons. I am thankful those people were brave enough to put themselves out there to impact my life, and I want to do the same for someone else.

On this blog you will find encouragement, wisdom, and useful tools to help keep you moving forward on your journey. Whether it is mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, professionally, or spiritually, it is my passion to take what I have learned (and still am learning) and share it with others.
Learning from others is not only how we grow, but many times how we can grow faster. If I can save you time in your journey so that you can move on to cover more ground, then my experience or struggle was not in vain.
I am in competition with no one. We are all running our own race, therefore there is no competition. I want to push you forward, and I want to see you succeed. We both win in the end, if we are obedient to what God has told us to do.
The time is now.
I want you to know that you can do what it is that the Lord has placed inside of you. It is not too late. You have not missed this imaginary timeline of events that society tries to tell us we have to meet by a certain age or we are doomed. No, we serve the God of time and He says it is not over until He says it’s over. As long as you have breath, there is time.
There is room for everyone at the table. You have a story and your voice needs to be heard. You are uniquely you and there are people only you can reach and impact.
We cannot allow fear to hold us back. It is time to live A Life with Reason.

The things I am most likely to talk about!
- I Love Jesus. Without Him, I am nothing. I owe my life to Him because He gave His life for me.
- I have a wonderful husband who is my other half and the one who made me a “Reason”
- We have 3 completely spoiled and adored pups.
- Restoration Chapel is the name of the church we pastor. We are so thankful God picked us to do life with this wonderful group of people.
- Restoration can and will happen. Everything old or broken can be made beautiful again.
- We love all things ocean. So much so we have a home on the Florida gulf coast known as “Reason to Escape” and started our own business Brackish to Blue.
- Our hobbies include scuba diving (we are Master Scuba Divers), fishing, kayaking, going to the beach, etc. Anything ocean/water related.
- We remodel anything and everything. So far that includes 2 houses, a church, a camper, and one day a large boat. There is always a project in the works.
- Antigua is our home away from home. This Caribbean island and the people that live here are truly one of kind. We visit twice a year since 2018.
- We love to Travel. We have been checking off bucket list trips the past few years. The list seems to get longer the more we travel.
- Sandals is our favorite all-inclusive resort chain. They treat you like royalty and we receive nothing but relaxation and rest when we visit the resorts they manage.
- I am obsessed with sunsets, waterfalls, rainbows, and Christmas lights.
